Appian Corp., the Vienna, VA Business Process Management (BPM) software vendor, said it has formed a strategic alliance with MorganFranklin Corp., a professional services company focused on productivity enhancements and compliance.

The companies will team up to offer Appian's Business Process Management Suite with MorganFranklin's management and transformation services, and help customers address Sarbanes-Oxley compliance challenges and other regulatory requirements.

"Together, Appian and MorganFranklin Corp. are delivering the platform, tools, functionality, and methodologies necessary for building collaborative, Web-based solutions to address specific business process challenges," said Appian vice-president of marketing Kevin Spurway, in a prepared statement. "This lifecycle approach to process management is especially critical for organizations looking to leverage flexible, extensible BPM-based platforms and solutions for their current and future compliance management initiatives."
